Sunday School
Every Sunday at 9:45 am
On Sunday mornings we have classes available for the whole family. We have classes for kids of all ages simultaneous with a class for mom and dad. At Sunday School, kids will learn the basics of the bibles stories and adults will go deeper into what it means to be a disciple. It is a chance to go deeper into the bible and learn a bit more than you will at worship service alone. Join us on Sundays at 9:45 and bring your whole family.
Generation Jesus for High Schoolers
Every Sunday Night at 6:30 Pm
Mickey Buehrer was presented the opportunity to take over the High School Youth Group, Generation Jesus, in 2014. His passion is to teach the youth about solid biblical doctrine, hard work, and dedication. Sunday evening looks like this, 1 hour of free time, 30 minute rejuvenating message, then snack and refreshments. We look forward to meeting you Sunday evenings!
Treasure Seekers for middleschoolers
Every Wednesday night 7:00-8:30 pm
Jeremy Simmons is the youth minister to the 4th through 6th graders here at Vernonia Christian church. He believes it is very important to plant seeds in the hearts and minds of these young ones so that as they grow older they will always know that Jesus loves them, no matter what life brings them!!! The ministry is called the “Treasure Seekers.” Jeremy’s teenage son Keaton helps with the sound board every Wednesday night so that we can introduce Christian music to the youth of this town. Wednesday night youth group is at 7pm-8:30 every week. It starts with a 10 minute lesson on the gospel and basic teachings in the bible, then a game and after that free time to run around. Refreshments are included! We look forward to meeting you!
Home Groups
Various weeknights at various locations
Home Groups at Vernonia Christian Church are an uplifting and encouraging experience. Our groups are a vital part of what we are doing to help people grow in Christ. Home groups are an opportunity to connect with other Christians in the relaxed atmosphere of someone’s home. At each group you will learn how to study the bible, how to pray, how to serve others, and how to apply Jesus teaching to your life. It’s a wonderful opportunity to grow as a disciple. We have home groups for people at all kinds of schedules and life’s stages throughout the week. Most of our groups are made up of a healthy mix of people from all ages. Some of the nights, child care is available at the church. Contact the church office to find out which group might be right for you.
Men’s Breakfast
Every 1st Saturday of the month
Men’s breakfast is part of our men’s ministry. It is a time for men to get together on the first Saturday Morning for a hearty breakfast and a time of encouragement. We have an excellent cook who serves an incredible breakfast, then we finish up with a time of study and devotion. It’s a great opportunity for men to encourage one another and fathers to bring their sons.
Ruttin Bull Busters
Every 3rd Tuesday of the Month at 7:00 PM
This is our Vernonia, OR chapter of Christian Bow Hunters of America meeting. Our community is filled with outdoorsmen and Bowhunters. This is a group of Christian Bow Hunters who meet every month to shoot our bows and sharpen each others skills in bow hunting. Every meeting has a prayer time, devotion, and hunting theme. We often hold hunting clinics and go on 3d shoots at our meetings. If you’re a bow hunter call the office and find out more about our Group Meetings.
